New Delhi.Sports Development Corporation is contacted by Deepika to run promotional campaigns through the 2012 London Olympics to give confidence the young generation to take up sports.
Deepika said “My first love continues to be sports and I would love to do any promotion that encourages people to take up sports in our country”. Daughter of expert badminton player Prakash Padukone, Deepika has been a state level badminton player herself. She, however, chose to take up acting as a career.
The official spokesperson from Sports Development Corporation, the board of promoting Olympics said “Yes, she has been approached. In all meetings, the board has been saying that she is the only one they would like do it because she has a very strong bond with sports”. Following the success of modeling the way that Deepika acting in his film debut film 'Om Shanti Om' from. In addition, 'Bachna A Haseeno' and 'Love Aaj Kal' views on their good performance in such successful films.
The actress has also been approached to become the face of badminton in India. “When we are looking for a celebrity to promote sports, we need people to believe that if this person can achieve so much at such a young age, so can we.
